Lance Creek steer wrestler Jason Miller knows he could be the man on top of the mountain come a week from Saturday and his focus is clearly on a second world championship. He and timed event pal, and team roping heeler, Jhett Johnson from Casper poke a lot of fun at one another. They joined us after money runs last night that they plan to set the pace for the next nine rounds of rodeo’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas:

Only five national finals bull riders rode the full eight last night and two of them are part of Team Wyoming. Tyler Willis and Seth Glause gave themselves a great beginning to what the traveling pards want to end with each deserving mention as potential world champs. We showed you Glause’ superb performance yesterday but here is how Willis made good on a tricky bull called County Mountie:

It was the annual “Wyoming Breakfast” at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo today. Governor Matt Mead attended, as is customary for the chief executive, and then visited with nearly 20 Wyoming business owners at the Cowboy Christmas event in Las Vegas. Our story on Governor Mead’s stop will be shown here on The Hand this weekend.
