Team Wyoming’s Dusty Tuckness is now the two-time “Bullfighter of the Year” in professional rodeo. He was gracious last night in accepting the honor for the second year in a row. There’s a buckle, prestige and some cash attached to the recognition but Dusty is just glad to be considered among the best at his chosen profession:

Cheyenne Frontier Days was once again named “Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year” at the annual PRCA awards banquet and Randy Corley, who grew up in Lusk (WY), is “Announcer of the Year.”
Welsh Bares Some in LV Sun
“Do I look stupid?” asked Gillette bull rider Bobby Welsh having not yet seen the morning newspaper by this afternoon. He looks great, we replied. His appearance in the Las Vegas Sun is a unique approach to understanding the working parts of a pro bull rider’s gear and get-up. Welsh was asked strip to all but his jeans and build his finished look. We expect he’ll be hearing from Cosmopolitan magazine soon:
NFR Notes
The Wyoming Office of Tourism set-up is running 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily at Cowboy Christmas in the Las Vegas Hilton Convention Center. Stop by and meet Team Wyoming. Load up on free Wyoming materials. Go to the rodeo and scream for our boys. We are located with partner Wrangler retail under the sign for row 500.
Our daily coverage of the team’s work in the Thomas & Mack Center will include a brief rundown each night and then a more complete look with video the following day. First round action is tonight.
